Exploring the Catholic Faith

Faith Formation through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)

Are you ready for the Greatest Adventure?

  • Have you always desired to be Catholic or do you know someone interested in the Catholic faith?
  • Are you curious about baptism or confirmation or do you want to wonder with others about being a disciple of Christ?
  • Is Jesus calling you to grow in relationship with Him?

Join us for a spiritual journey that includes engaging with the mysteries of the Catholic Faith, reflecting on the Gospel readings as a community and being offered a mentor as you walk this journey.

We meet most Sundays at 12:15PM in the Parish Center.

Text (or call) Lynn 727-409-1392 for more information & to receive a list of meeting dates.

SACRAMENTS OF INITIATION

The sacraments are visible signs of invisible gifts bestowed on followers of Christ.  Imagine the sacraments as special "gifts wrapped in a visible way" that Jesus gives us to help us grow closer to him throughout our lives. When becoming a Catholic, there are four sacraments that show God's love and strength in a tangible way, each one marking a significant moment in our journey as Christians.

  •     Baptism - cleanses us from original sin and welcomes us into the Christian community.
  •     Confirmation - the Holy Spirit fills us with strength to live our faith courageously.
  •     Eucharist (Holy Communion) - we receive Christ’s body, blood, soul and divinity in the form of bread and wine.
